the story so far.....

... Born in Kenya (East Africa)... schooled in Kenya while relocating & traveling extensively during those years ... left Kenya after 'O Levels' & went to South Africa ...  Graduated in Fine Art with distinctions at the Art college in Durban... (much to my parents relief) ...

Came to the UK and continued art studies in Portsmouth College of Art & Design... while studying Graphics & Photography (and 'early' digital/multimedia), I began lecturing in painting and figure drawing...

Freelanced in illustration in & around London... held three solo and joint fine art exhibitions in London... worked in (bespoke) furniture design... cleaned stables...fixed roads... worked in factories...

Returned to South Africa to get married ... freelanced in illustration, design & Animation ... did some lecture stints and held workshops for fellow art directors, who had yet to turn on their new Macs...

... and worked in a few design/ad agencies... became Art Director for a medical agency & later a Creative Director for Saatchi & Saatchi (seconded to Botswana branch to get them up to speed)... I established two multimedia/design studios in Johannesburg... then finally left 'my Africa' & 'returned' to England in 2001 and after a couple of years with News International and a number of assignments, contracts, commissions, I have been the 'Senior Multimedia, Graphics & Animation guy' at King's College in London...  & I continue to paint...
